The town hall of Toulouse currently has 373Armed municipal police, with an objective of 430 police officers in 2026 who required as part of the weapon, an assessment during recruitment and psychological follow -up throughout the exercise of their mission. The Toulouse municipal police department also has 40 agentsSurveillance of the public road (ASVP) which can be submitted in their profession to verbal or physical assaults, as well as 43 protection video operators which are exposed within the framework of their supervisory functions to violent images, bodily accidents,Deaths, homicides or suicides.
The objective of assessing skills at the wearing of weapons is to prevent the risks of accidents by ensuring that the candidate has the medical, physical, psychological and cognitive skills required to occupy the function of municipal police officer endowedof a category B firearm with a lethal effect.
