Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Almaty Tree Management Plan and An Action Plan to Establish an Urban Green Corridor in The Greater Almaty Agglomeration, Kazakhstan. The objective of this assignment is to establish: i) a City of Almaty urban tree management plan, inclusive of pest management; and ii) an action plan that guides the reforestation and establishment of a green forest corridor with a special focus along the rivers connecting the City of Almaty and the Almaty Oblast. The interventions must reflect the regions vision, goals, and objectives while involving both governmental and non-governmental stakeholders, including the private sector, in planning processes. The interventions should account for and incorporate the draft Akimat of Almaty Urban Greening Master Plan and other relevant plans and documents to ensure cohesive urban forestry planning and management. Overall, the tree management plan, including its pest management approaches, and the green corridor should seamlessly integrate with regional best practices and the ongoing greening corridors under development within the City of Almaty.
