- Lots: Carbon dioxide - Carbon dioxide Carbon dioxide is non-toxic and non-explosive. At concentrations greater than 5% (92 g/m3), carbon dioxide has a harmful effect on human health, since it is heavier than air and can accumulate in weak ventilated areas near the floor. This reduces the volume fraction of oxygen in the air, which can cause oxygen deficiency and suffocation. In many welding and other processes, various gases are used, for example, in semi-automatic and in automatic welding as a shielding gas or in gas cutting as a working gas. To use such gas, it is stored and transported inside a gas cylinder. The gas cylinder, no matter what kind of gas is inside, must meet the requirements GOST 949-73, which regulates the material of manufacture, wall thickness, permissible pressure, as well as other characteristics. The 40 liter carbon dioxide gas cylinder is supplied certified and filled with gas. The color of the cylinder is black, with the inscription carbon dioxide, which is applied in white or yellow, operating pressure is 14.7 MPa. The cylinder is equipped with a shoe for stability. Carbon dioxide in cylinders (carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide) is used: to create a protective environment when welding metals; for food purposes in production of carbonated drinks, dry ice, for cooling, freezing and storing food products in direct and indirect contact with them; for drying casting molds; for fire fighting and other purposes in all industries...
