For each standard size of PPE, the manufacturer indicates the range (minimum and maximum) of the total cross-section of the connected wires. This type of clamp can be used repeatedly. These connecting insulating clamps (PPE) are used when installation of electrical wiring of residential, public and industrial buildings and structures. | SIZ-3 connecting insulating clamp for wires Connecting insulating clamps of the SIZ type are designed for insulation and connection into a single bundle of electrical copper wires and cables. To install the clamp, during electrical installation it is screwed onto the previously stripped and connected or twisted together ends of the wires several turns until completely fixed, while the outer part of the chip completely isolates the twist. Screwing the tips is done clockwise until it stops. Plastic PPE can be used for stranded and single-core conductors with a total cross-section of 2.5-5.5 mm². The terminal body is made of fireproof PVC. A conical spring is mounted inside forms made of galvanized steel, which ensures reliable grip and retention of electrical wires.
