Force Protection Qualification System (FPQS),
for the Netherlands Royal Navy.
This RFI is part of a market survey. It is not the intention to provide a detailed proposal at this moment. In this RFI, the NLD MOD informs the market about our current challenges, invites and encourages the market to provide us with information and solutions that would help the NLD MOD address these challenges. The NLD MOD wants to gather as much information as possible concerning possibilities and restrictions in the vendor market and the available solutions.
In order to be able to protect herself against FIAC, drones and Low Slow Flyers, the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNN) vessels are equipped with man-operated small caliber arms, such as the .50 caliber machine gun and the FN HERSTAL MAG 7.62mm machine gun. This ability is called Force Protection. Force Protection needs to be trained.
The Royal Netherlands Navy wants to be able to better qualify its Force Protection ability and is interested in a system that can provide support during a near-realistic exercise and provides an integral play back functionality. By integral it is meant that all elements involved during the exercise can be identified during the playback debrief
